Foreclosure Prevention Clinics

The Center’s foreclosure prevention clinics in Hartford and Fairfield Counties are open to any homeowner facing foreclosure. The clinics are FREE, and no pre-registration is required.

Clinic participants receive information about the judicial foreclosure and mediation process, guidance on how to prepare and what documents to bring to court, and information about resources available to homeowners.  Each clinic includes free materials and often a presentation by a representative from the State of Connecticut Department of Banking.

All participants receive a copy of the Center’s publication, “Representing Yourself in Foreclosure: A Guide for Connecticut Homeowners.”

After the presentations, participants will also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with volunteer attorneys and paralegals to discuss their situations.

Next clinic: Wednesday, October 17th, 6:00-8:30pm at Morton Government Center, 999 Broad Street (2nd floor OPED Conference Room), Bridgeport
